THE HISTORY OF BACUYONG

     The name Bacuyong was

derived from the words “Bakud” which means awaken and

“Oyong” meaning grandfather or old man. When one awakens his grandfather, he would say  “Bakud na Yong”. When the  people new to the place heard  it, they named it Bacuyong.
