BP Station: Health within Reach
Each year the community gathers 10 to 15 new cases of hypertension. New cases are detected through house to house survey BP monitoring by the medical students. The group and some leaders from the community decided to establish a station for BP monitoring. The stations will serve as a catchment area to each purok to allow the hypertensives to continue their BP monitoring.
The stations will be manned by the identified personnel or the BP rangers. The BP rangers underwent training on proper BP taking and recording, recognition of emergency cases and how to handle such.
